In 2000 my life hit rock bottom. I was totally spent and didn't see any way out of the mire that I found myself in. This book tells the story how (with a little help) I managed to turn my life around. Miraculously at the onset of the new millenium I started to embark on a series of truly amazing out of body adventures, and as the years have gone by, I have learned to pass through solid objects, propel myself in whatever direction I wish to travel, and unbelievably, "will" myself back into my body when I became bored with the journey. As if that wasn't incredible enough, I have also been blessed by the Avatar of the age himself, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who first entered my life in 2001. Since then I have had a series of truely wonderous experiences with Baba, the highlights of which were being held in his arms during an out of body experience in 2006 and seeing him in physical form at his ashram, Prasanthi Nilayam (abode of the highest peace) in Puttaparthi, Southern India in October 2009.

Fascinating and informative; one man's journey through psychic phenomena then onward to India for more (enlightenment). Written with humor by self-deprecating Englishman, Richard Holmes, who continually reminds us of the "sorry state" he was coming from. I found the book hard to put down as I was caught up in the momentum of Richard's discoveries and how he sought to deal with them. The part about his voyage to Puttaparthi, India, was especially appreciated for its descriptive sights and sounds as well as the profound spiritual aspect of Richard's connection to Sai Baba.Product details

This books is an honestly written journey from being very lost and unsure of direction to being guided change many lives. This is not so much a "how to" book on astral travelling but more of a "what to expect" guide. It will also take you through some of the reasons we astral travel and help you understand some of your dreaming experiences.
The second part of this book details Richard's trip to visit the Avatar and how that changed his life. It is a heart warming account of real life in the ashram and how the power of love can transcend all time, space and distance. For those that have never experienced the pure unconditional love of an Avatar Richard eloquently puts into words what is totally ineffable, giving readers a taste for this heightened way to live.
Overall a very good read too, flows well and I can highly recommend this book to anyone interested in astral travel )
This is a true story you will want to read from cover to cover in one sitting, because you will find it hard to put down. Having been to see Richard on two occasions and having taken part in one of his Vedic Chanting and Meditation Workshops, I was truly amazed by this gentle man and the outcome of each visit for me personally. In reading this story I feel privileged to have been able to 'share' his very personal journey. What comes across so strongly is the way in which he embraces everything that comes his way and his appreciation for the lessons he has learnt from the negative things life often presents. It is a story with immense heart to it and I feel reading it has changed me in some way, inspired me to open up to something I've only recently (and tentatively) started to explore. The account of his trip to Southern India was fascinating and is told with an honestly that is refreshing. This isn't a book that 'preaches' but a book that chronicles one man's special journey from being 'lost' to being 'found'. A truly inspiring read.
In 2000, Richard's life reaches rock bottom so the first part of the book tells Richard's story of how he with a little spiritual help was able to change is life for the better. He takes us on his own personal journey of self-discovery. He shares with us experiences of astral projection from when he first discovered he could do this to how after gaining more experiences he can now be fully in control when he is having out of body experiences and is now used to it and now finds it enjoyable.
The second part of the book focus on Richard's visit to Southern India in October 2009 and the spiritual journey he has when he visits Sri Sathya Sai Baba at his ashram in Prasanthi Nilayam (Abode of the highest place). Richard shares his experiences and shows us that he as an openness to learn and understand life and the lessons we learn from life.
I found this book really interesting. It is really well written and you just cannot stop reading it. Richard goes in to great detail when describing what happens to him when he is having an out of body experience. When he talks about Baba it made me want to learn much more about him because until I had read Richards book I had heard the name before but was unsure who he was and what he did and after reading what Richard wrote about him he sounded so interesting I was googling away once I had finished reading.
Another thought inspiring book from Richard that makes you really want to open up your mind more and learn.
