The Web has been one of the Archie Mighty Crusaders since the 1960's. Archie contracted with DC twice to re-invent the characters for the present day. They weren't just for kids anymore. That doesn't mean they were inappropriate at all, but I do feel that something was lost in translation. This 10-issue series, which featured backup Hangman stories, was actually well done. You should enjoy it, as long as you're not expecting the original Web. The vendor, Chalkybird, was exceptional in its service, as usual. The book was described as "New," which implies a condition of VF/NM (9.0) or better. While I found it to be only VF+ (8.75), that's close enough for subjectivity. The actual worth was $3.85, and Chalky sold it for only $0.75, so it was a great savings! For you Archie Mighty Heroes fans out there, check out the current "New Crusaders" trades and the Fox mini-series written by Mark Waid (with the Shield backup by J.M. DeMatteis).
